About Me

What’s up, Superior Region! My name is Derek Rulon, and I am your 2025-2026 Region President! I am a senior at West Valley, and I am stoked for the rest of this year! In FFA, I have served on my chapter team for three years, and I was previously the Shasta vice president for our region. I love public speaking competitions and I also compete on meats judging. For my SAE project, I raise and sell breeding sheep to local 4-H and FFA members. I also show my ewes at some jackpot shows. Outside of FFA, I run varsity track and cross-country, and I love being active. I also love the outdoors and am an avid hunter and fisher. I spend a lot of my time in the woods and hope to be a wildlife vet after high school. When I’m home, I work with my sheep and play guitar. In school, I serve as my chapter president and am a member of the student council.

I am so hyped to make this year amazing! Our amazing team of officers has great things in store for the region, and I can’t wait to work with all of you!
